Documentation (history)
The Knights Templar was a medieval Christian military order prominent in the Crusades, from the early 12th century until the early 14th century. Hugues de Payens or Payns was the co-founder and first Grand Master of the Knights Templar. In association with Bernard of Clairvaux, he created the Latin Rule, the code of behavior for the Order.
