I have created a series of 3D models based on the iconic photograph "Lunch atop a Skyscraper", captured in 1932, which depicts eleven construction workers sitting on a beam during the construction of the Rockefeller Center in New York. Each model is meticulously designed to capture the essence of this historic image.
The first model is the beam itself, robust and with realistic textures that replicate the steel worn by time. Next, I modeled each of the eleven workers, paying special attention to their relaxed postures and the tools they carry. Each figure includes details such as hats, work clothes, and the lunches they hold, achieving a faithful and detailed representation.
Additionally, I created a base that simulates the structure under construction so that the models can be displayed together securely and stably, providing a unique three-dimensional perspective of this iconic scene. These models not only celebrate the bravery and spirit of the workers of that era but also serve as a tribute to the advancements in engineering and architecture.
