Beta Update

As we get closer and closer to our public launch, some new features have been coming online and we started work on some other exciting stuff.

Let's take a look at what was implemented just recently.

EV SSL

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates are used online to provide secure connections between websites and browsers. This is what makes it possible for you to be able to login onto various platforms without your sensitive information being intercepted.

We had our certificate ever since we launch of course - you can confirm it by noticing the "s" in the URL (https) - but we just recently went a step further and replaced our certificate with an extended validation (EV) certificate.

This required us to prove the identity of our company to a certificate authority and you can now see that information in the green bar next to the URL in your browser.

This is just one more step is making sure our sellers and users feel as secure as possible by proving we are who we say we are :)

Caching & CDN

We also spent quite a lot of time optimizing the platform to make sure it goes as fast as possible.

Response times were already pretty good but as we get more and more traffic, this is an important step to ensure everybody has a fast and smooth experience.

Caching was implemented everywhere possible and we are now using a CDN (content delivery network) to speed up loading times for users around the globe.

Simplifying it a lot: caching is temporary storage for web documents (images, html, etc). The results is that your browser will not have to load everything on the page for every single visit anymore. A lot of it will be cached (or stored for later use) and this reduces our bandwidth and server load, but also reduces page load times for you.

Paired with a CDN, the cache content is sent to servers all around the world which in turn sends it to your browser when requested. Since download times are always faster the closer you are to a server, this is good because it essentially makes everybody in the world close to our servers. Everything used to originate from our server here in the US, but now servers delivering Cubebrush content can be found everywhere in the world!

Free Credits!

Now, all of the above is good to know - however not very exciting. What we are working on at the moment should be a lot more interesting!

When you create your Cubebrush account, you will soon receive $5 in free credits to use when the site launches! Of course everybody who already have accounts will get the same.

But it gets even better.

When you refer your friends and they sign up for their free credits, you will also get more credits yourself, up to a total of $100! Pretty cool huh?
