Wacom silently just announced the latest models in their flagship line, the Cintiq Pro.
What might interest a large number of you is the fact it now takes their most expensive model, the 27QHD, and translates it to 2 new smaller sizes which will undoubtedly mean lower price points.
The larger model also uses a 4K display and they both come with the new Pro Pen 2 which allows for 8,192 levels of sensitivity — four times that of the Cintiq 27QHD.
There are very few details out there but we did put our hands on some images and basic specs:
- New Wacom Pro Pen 2
- Two sizes (13.3" and 15.6")
- Up to 4K resolution
- Richer color
With the current (non-touch) lineup priced at $2300 for the Cintiq 27QHD, $1800 for the Cintiq 22HD and $800 for the Cintiq 13HD, we can probably expect the new Cintiq Pro 13 to be around $800 as well and the new Cintiq Pro 16 to be at a new price point of about $1100.
