Welcome to Cubebrush

Our blog is live!
We are happy to finally have a direct voice with everyone! This will be our main channel of communication for new features and platform updates during private beta.
In the future, the blog will be used to also feature artist interviews, awesome free content, news, tips & tricks and much more.
During beta (especially), we want to hear what you have to say so don't hesitate to jump into the conversation and pitch in with ideas, feedback or questions!
This post will briefly go over the current state of Cubebrush and how we see the platform evolving in the future.
Cubebrush is a platform for artists.
Our Goal
The mission we set out to accomplish when we started working on the project was to make it easy for artists to find helpful resources to help them improve their art or speed up their work - artists in the game, film, media & entertainment industry in particular. This is the industry we know best so it made perfect sense to build a platform we would also love too use for ourselves.
There were a lot of artists with great content and a lot of people looking for it but no good way for the two to connect. Sure, you could be following somebody on Facebook when they posted a link to their online store but while you were lucky to find that link, countless others outside of that social circle would never even know it existed. That obviously makes for a very limited audience, even for popular artists.
On the other hand, the few real marketplaces out there are either overflowing with low quality content or products that are mostly irrelevant to artists.
We wanted relevant, quality content on a centralized platform and this is really what got us started. Cubebrush makes it easy to sell, find and discover new art resources.
We like to boastfully use this comparison to describe ourselves:
Cubebrush - the Amazon of digital art resources.
Where we stand
Today, we are getting really close to that goal. Our online stores are still missing a few features but they are fully functional nonetheless. We've already seen quite a few sales from some of our sellers which is fantastic considering the marketplace features are not even online yet. We still have a few key systems to finish before we can open to the public but I will be revealing more on that in future posts.
We have some big plans for the coming weeks and I can't wait to share them with you all.
Ultimately, we want Cubebrush to not only be a great community of artists, but to become the place you go to when you need quality tutorials, brushes, textures, 3D models, rigs and much more. We have a lot of work to do.
We are extremely excited to finally be in beta and we absolutely cannot wait to hear your thoughts. Let's create the best marketplace ever - together :)
