Steampunk Gun Tutorial
This is a full process of modeling, unwrapping, and texturing a steampunk gun . It is better to have some basic information about working with programs, although all the shortcuts and information are subtitled as much as possible. ( the final model and project files are Free to use )
Tutorial Contents :
_ Modeling ( Duration : 4 hours ) _ The modeling process is done in blender and in two parts : Part 1 : Polygon modeling Part 2 : Process of optimizing the product to achieve the minimum number of polys and a clean topology ( 22 K )
_ Unwrapping ( Duration : 25 minutes ) _ - easy to follow - all shortcuts we used are explained - Standard UV Packing
_ sculpting ( Duration : 54 minutes ) _ - making a proper highpoly - adding some details using brushes and alphas
_ Texturing ( Duration : 3 hours & 40 minutes ) _ - baking highpoly to lowpoly - create lots of materials from 0 to 100 - using many technics to get more realistic details (smart materials, smart masks, generators, anchor point, hand painting and ..... ) exporting final textures
_ rendering ( Duration : 48 minutes ) _ adding lights and HDRI to reach a good lighting based on reference post-processing in V-Ray framebuffer
Software Used : - Blender - Rizom UV - Substance Painter - 3Dsmax / V-Ray
Videos have subtitles in important parts .
