Model bridge H0 scale trains, Baltimore bridge reproduction (Francis Scott Key Bridge) , File STL-OBJ for 3D Printer
Assembly Figure more than 200 hours of modeling Consists of 41 pieces. Each piece is less than 14 cm to allow all printers to print all the files have been decimated by the polygons, but without losing the details, this makes the light files suitable for each computer
dimensions approximately L 94 Cm H 24 Cm W 14 Cm
L 37 inch H 9,4 inch W 5,5 inch
all files are already in place for optimal printing
The bridge 3D model was designed to get a clean print result, without considering printing material consumption, However, you are free to rotate, or scale, every part of the model in the most convenient way for you. Each file has been checked and repaired with Netfabb The parts of the model are already positioned for 3D printing Compatible with every Slicer- Simplify3D, Care, Slic3r, etc ... All the parts of the model have been cut so as to be printed vertically, for a higher quality of printing
The Francis Scott Key Bridge, also known originally as the Outer Harbor Crossing, sometimes simply referred to as the Key Bridge or Beltway Bridge, was a continuous steel arch bridge spanning the Patapsco River and the Harbor of Baltimore, Maryland. It constituted a section of Maryland Route 695. The main span, 366 m long, was the third longest in the world among those with a continuous girder[1]. It was also the longest bridge in the Baltimore metropolitan area. Built starting in 1972, the bridge opened to traffic on March 23, 1977 and was named after Francis Scott Key, author of the American national anthem. The bridge was the outermost of Baltimore Harbor's three toll crossings (two tunnels and one bridge). Once completed, the bridge structure and its ramps became the final links of Interstate 695 (the "Baltimore Beltway"), completing a two-decade project. Despite the I-695 signage, the bridge was officially considered part of the state highway system and was designated Maryland Route 695.
On March 26, 2024, around 1:30 am, the bridge collapsed following the collision of the Dali cargo ship with one of the pillars supporting it Wikipedia
Recommended settings for printing
each part was cut to be printed vertically, to have a better quality print, so for the upper parts, it is recommended to print with a 4-5 skirt
Quality Layer height: 0.1mm* Initial layer thickness: 0.3mm Bottom/top pattern: lines Horizontal expansion: 0.04mm (when entering 0.04mm index, the 3D printer perceives the model as monolith, i.e. as having no hidden layers). *Layer Height 0.1mm is recommended for a better quality for the printed model. However, the printing time will double.
As a STL file provider, our goal is to ensure that the files are error-free and printable in the most accurate way. This is why we only test print the most difficult segments of the model’s parts.
The model's parts have been tested and printed in PLA. In case you need advice where to get your filaments from, check our partner's website.
