Free: ADAM Unity Humanoid Controller | Open-Source Robotics Articulation Baseline
Rig an interactive humanoid robot in Unity and prepare it for procedural and AI-directed movement.
This free project and tutorial break down the Adam Unity Character Controller, an early prototype for controlling an articulated humanoid through touch and language. You can grab any part of the robot on screen and move it directly.
The rig creates a control layer between the humanoid body and higher-level systems. Touch drives the control targets directly, while an LLM can translate voice and text into movement commands. Its joint hierarchy and IK structure also provide a starting point for robotics simulation, learned movement, and later physical prototyping.
