Some time ago, I started a project that’s especially dear to me—a 3D model of a little-known Romanian aircraft, the I.A.R. CV 11.

Due to limited time, I had to set the project aside for a while, but not before making significant progress on the airframe and engine. In fact, the engine came together so nicely that I turned it into a small desk ornament—something to keep on my worktable as a constant reminder of the aircraft and its story.

The I.A.R. CV 11 is a piece of aviation history that deserves to be better known, and I hope to be the one to help bring that story to life through this model.

3D printing settings While I always strive to print and test every model before release, due to limited time, I haven’t yet printed this exact revision of the engine. However, I have successfully printed earlier versions at various scales and made several improvements based on those tests.
