UPDATE: 113 cloud photos have been added including a collection of sunrise photos. Aerial photograph of Stratocumulus clouds. Cloud sheet stretched over hundreds of square kilometres mostly covering the ground and blocking most of the direct sun lighting. Occasional breaks in the cloudscape show patches of New Zeland's landscape lying underneath. Usually, stratocumulus produces no precipitation, and when they do, it is generally only light rain or snow. However, these clouds are often seen at either the front or tail end of worse weather, so they may indicate storms to come, in the form of thunderheads or gusty winds.
