Egg Chair
The Egg armchair is one of the great design assets of the architect Arne Jacobsen and arose from the intention of working with inspiration from nature and simple ways of creating, and for that, he used a new technique at the time, in which he was the first to work: a firm shell-shaped foam on the upholstery. To ensure the perfection of his work, the architect worked like a sculptor to have the ideal shell shape for the egg armchair. He used clay in his garage at home until he reached the molds he wanted. As a result, the Egg armchair was created, whose name comes precisely because of its shape reminding one of an egg, in addition to the fact that it allows the person to have a certain privacy while sitting in this armchair. Its original color was green, to match the rest of the hotel's decor, but its simple and bold design was so successful that it didn't take long for other fabrics to emerge offering greater charm to the piece, allowing it to have harmony in any type of decoration
