USS Hoel DD-533 - Fletcher Class Destroyer
The USS Hoel was a Fletcher-class destroyer that served in World War II and was named after Lieutenant Commander William R. Hoel. It participated in the Battle of Leyte Gulf and ultimately sank after sustaining heavy damage.
