Brushstroke Roughness Maps

This is the Professional Pack of seamless and non-seamless Roughness maps I've been creating of physical brushstrokes. Some were made with charcoal (dusty) and the other half are regular paint.

If you want a visual preview of all files included in each pack (or a lower tier selection of textures), please download the FREE sample pack on my Gumroad. Along with 1K versions of some textures, there are also contact sheet PDFs with thumbnails of every file included with each pack.

Most of these are better used as roughness maps, but of course they can be used as masks, bump, in photoshop, or anything else you find use for.

The majority of these textures are unique, but a few have both 'screen' and 'lighten' versions that indicate the blend mode that stroke layers were on. It can have an impact of you're trying to imitate something like oils vs water colors in your materials.

In the 'Professional Packs', I included the 'RAW' scans that were used to make the finished maps. They are cleaned up and usable, but aren't as refined as the main textures. So a few files marked 'RAW' might look like duplicates to some other non-seamless textures, but are still useful if you want some of the imperfections left from the original scans.

Updated 6/14/22 (v2): Cleaned up a few of the maps that had some flaws. Added 5 Normal Map variations to the Professional/Studio Packs. Updated the contact sheets in each pack.
