Description

Create curve-driven waterfalls, receiving water surfaces and separate splash effects inside Blender. Shape the cascade, refine its foam and landing effects, and combine it with water, rings and mist for a connected environment shot.

Four procedural setups

  • Curve-shaped waterfall with width and surface-shaping controls.
  • Water surface with animated wave normals, shallow/deep appearance and contact effects.
  • Standalone splash rings.
  • Combined splash-and-fog effects.

Adjust the result

Use the Geometry Nodes modifiers to tune water appearance, foam, movement and loop timing. Set interaction targets for your scene and use the viewport optimisation controls while composing. The effects use native nodes and materials, rather than a fluid-simulation bake. Mist uses cards; it is not volumetric simulation.

Included

3DT Waterfall Geometry Nodes.blend, containing the procedural setups and example scene. The inspected file contains 31 image datablocks and no linked Blender libraries.

Getting started and compatibility

Use Blender 5.2 and begin in a copy of the supplied file. Select the waterfall curve or one of the standalone water-effect objects and adjust its modifier. Append the relevant objects and dependencies when transferring into your own scene; review interaction targets after transfer. No product add-on installation is required.

The source was saved in Blender 5.2. Automatic contact behaviour depends on the renderer and scene; check the result in your intended render setup. Performance depends on effect density and scene complexity. Native Geometry Nodes do not transfer directly to game engines.

Choose the appropriate Cubebrush licence for your intended use.
